earlier this month, genertec cntic received a green loan from dbs hong kong for investment in and construction of its 84 mw ve ivovik d.o.o sarajevo project, a wind power project in bosnia and herzegovina (bih). this is also the first ever green loan underwritten by china export & credit insurance corporation (sinosure).
the green loan accords with the green loan principles, which was jointly released by the loan market association and the asia pacific loan market association in february 2021, and belongs to the special loan established by financial institutions to support enterprises and projects in clean energy and other areas with advanced technologies and international competitiveness.
the wind power project is a major project included into the outcome list of china-central and eastern european countries (ceec) summit in 2021.
once completed, it will become the largest new energy power generation project in bih, as well as the largest energy project invested and constructed by a chinese enterprise in the country.
