good news! genertec cntic has reached a critical milestone on may 29 with the successful first fire of the gas turbine installed at the ashuganj 400 mw combined cycle power plant (east) project in bangladesh. it’s a key step towards the power plant being connected to the grid. construction of the project has been carried out in an orderly manner despite challenges. once completed, the project is slated to increase the country’s installed power capacity by about 2 percent and generate over 3,300 gwh of electricity a year, benefiting around 1.2 million local residents.
