good news! the loan agreement for genertec cmc’s dhaka-ashulia elevated expressway project in bangladesh took effect on may 10, a milestone in project financing before construction. the project includes a 24 km four-lane elevated expressway and an existing 14.3 km road to be reconstructed from two lanes to four lanes, with ramps and toll booths. it’s a key infrastructure project for china-bangladesh cooperation under the belt and road initiative.

a green loan has been recently issued for the 84 mw ve ivovik d.o.o sarajevo project invested by genertec cntic, in recognition for the project’s contribution to sustainable development. the project is the largest chinese enterprise-funded energy project in bosnia and herzegovina, and will be the largest renewable project in the country after completion. it’s also one of the country’s key projects for green growth. a land survey for the wind farm has been underway since april 11. the hoisting test was finished on march 21, and the first batch of equipment is on its way to the site.

the kaposvár 100 mw pv power plant built by genertec cmc has been operating smoothly throughout its first year since january 2021. as the largest solar power plant in hungary and even central and eastern europe, it saw an annual power output of around 150 gwh, cutting standard coal consumption by 52,000 tons and co2 emissions by 140,000 tons. it’s an example of how projects between two countries can work together for a greener and shared future.
